God-given vision invites opposition.

That’s just how it is. Don’t shy away from it, and don’t be scared of it. Embrace it. Life is a spiritual battle.

When God plants a vision in your heart of how He’ll use you or what could be or some problem you know you would die to conquer, buckle up. Opposition will come from all directions. For Joseph, it came from within (his own brothers); for Nehemiah, it came from without (local enemies who tried to stop the work). Either way, know it will come. Don’t live in paranoia, but live prepared for the battle.

Ephesians 6 lists our God-given weapons and armor for a reason: so we may stand against the wiles of the devil.

Never forget that stepping out in faith will invite Satanic backlash. But also remember, Satan is like a dog on a leash. He’s like a lion, but he’s not the lion. Jesus is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. Satan is dangerous, but defeated.

If you should fear anything, fear living a problem-free life that invites no spiritual opposition because you are no threat to Satan’s kingdom on earth.

Life is a battle and there will be pain, but take heart, Jesus has overcome the world!
