I’ve talked a lot recently about what God has been doing at Awaken Church, in Clarksville, and in my own personal life and ministry…
– I Have A Past That I’m Not Proud Of
…now it’s your turn.
I’d love to hear what God has been up to in your life, ministry, church, family, or city. How has He been showing His faithfulness recently and what are you learning? Leave a comment on this blog so that others can read what God is up to!
Our mission trip to SD was life changing. Two things I hope the students learned as well I was to remember that even in the midst of the storm, this time 10 tornadoes, God is still good. In a moment that feels like chaos and out of contol God is just as control when things are great. He still loves us so much and has our best interest in mind. The other thing is that most people don’t share their faith out of fear. But out of the many people we shared the Gospel with no one was assgressive or hostile. People are generally happy to hear the Gospel and that’s why it is the good news. Because we bring hope. We saw over a dozen people come to the Lord not with amazing speech or apologetics but by a student who loves Jesus simple asking if other knew what God did for them 2000 years ago. Jesus said the fields are ready for harvest. We know their are people, many people, who are ready to believe in Jesus if we would only open our mouths. That’s what has been happening at Velcocity. Miss you all in TN. God bless
Good stuff. Thanks for sharing. I love the thought of middle schoolers sharing their faith! What a privilege to be a part of that!
My church recently did a mission trip to Brazil. Seven of us went and spent a week becoming intimately acquainted with what Hope Unlimited does in Brazil. Our main project while there was a vacation Bible school with the 8-12 year olds. We spent almost $15,000 to do the entire trip. We had a great discussion when we got back about the value of what we did vs the cost. Here are some things that happened: The kids and the people in ministry in Brazil were encouraged by having us there and involved. One couple that went feels their call to missions was solidified. I believe God is helping me understand my niche in missions and I will continue to pursue being a short term missions leader. One gentleman had never been on a mission trip. This has opened his eyes and heart to doing more. I will be moving away from Albuquerque in the next few months. This has tied my church closely to Hope so that the financial and prayer support will not wane when I leave. We saw the hand of God move in amazing ways while were there and were each personally impacted. The value of going cannot be fully explained or put in words. God was glorified and will continue to be glorified because of our trip.
