Shout for joy in the Lord, O you righteous! Praise befits the upright.

— Psalms 33:1 ESV —

Another way to say “Praise befits the upright” is “praise looks good on you!” Praise coming from the lives of God’s people looks good in a few ways…

It fits well.

It just makes sense. In light of all God has done and all we worship Him for, it wouldn’t make sense if we weren’t living lives of praise.

It looks good.

It’s awe-inspiring to see someone who is genuinely in love with God and praise is pouring out of their lives.

It compliments you.

Praise and faith are a natural pair. The more your faith grows, the more your desire to praise should grow.

It’s contagious.

There’s something electric about someone’s whose life has been changed, who is pouring out praise to God. Other people want in on it.

Is praise a regular part of your life?

Can people on the outside tell you are grateful on the inside?

Shout for joy in the Lord. It looks good on you!
