Each Monday, we’re learning how the Awaken Code gives identity and purpose to our church as well as our lives. Here’s a very practical thing to remember…
Code Pt 6
God has promised the victory, but that doesn’t negate our responsibility. We will do everything we can within our natural ability and trust God for the supernatural.
God has promised the victory. We don’t fight for victory as much as we fight from victory. The tomb is empty and “the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.” (Romans 16:20). Never forget the victory we have in Christ.
Although the victory has been won, that doesn’t negate our responsibility. God is sovereign and powerful and yet, simultaneously, we are responsible and invited to join in. God didn’t need Joshua and the Israelites to march around Jericho, blow trumpets, and yell loudly, but He wanted to give them a voice in the victory. God invites us in and empowers us, but we have work to do!
We will do everything we can within our natural ability. As we pray for God to do His part, we must be faithful with our part. At Awaken, this means setup, tear down, cleaning, administration, organization, preparation, and so much more. Personally, our natural ability applies to sharing our faith, setting an example, and living with integrity.
While we do the natural, we trust God for the supernatural. We recognize that spiritual work isn’t anything we can pull off on our own. Salvation is God’s work and He will fight for us…but only as we partner with Him.
