In January, we finished up a 15-week series in Psalms called HeartBlog. I loved it. I also love what’s next…
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
We’ll look at the 3 main “pillars” that supported the explosive growth of the early church and provided the fellowship and support they needed as they faced some of the most sever persecution the world had ever seen.
WEEK 1 – Wed, Feb 16: “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine…”
This Wednesday, we’ll see how the preaching and teaching of God’s Word is mandatory for the Church to succeed.
WEEK 2 – Wed, Feb 23: “…and fellowship, in the breaking of bread…”
Next Wednesday, we’ll take communion together (as is implied by “the breaking of bread”) and we’ll also learn about our inborn need and the Biblical mandate for fellowship and Godly relationships outside of the church walls.
WEEK 3 – Wed, March 2: “…and in prayers.”
As we wrap up the study, we’ll look at the importance of corporate and private prayer, inside the church as well as outside.
The first Book we studied through on Wednesday nights was the Book of Acts. It took us 40 weeks to get through all 28 chapters, and I loved every week of it. It was powerful to learn how God planted His Church as we took part in a branch of God’s Church being planted in Clarksville.
If you’re in the Clarksville or Nashville area, you’re invited to join us.
If you’re outside the area, you can subscribe to our podcast to hear the messages.
